Hidradenoma papilliferum is a rare appendageal tumor of apocrine gland origin that is found almost exclusively on the vulva or anogenital region of women of Northern European descent. Hidradenoma papilliferum occurring outside the anogenital area has rarely been reported in both women and men, in which case it is termed ectopic hidradenoma papilliferum.

Hidradenoma papilliferum are usually asymptomatic, cystic, papillary tumors. They can rarely ulcerate.
