Senile gluteal dermatosis (SGD) is a condition of the elderly where hyperkeratotic, lichenified skin lesions occur around the gluteal cleft and over the ischial tuberosities on the lower buttocks.

SGD presents in older adults, usually men, with low body weight. Some cases are limited to the medial buttocks, others to the lower buttocks, but both areas are usually involved. Plaques are usually bilateral and asymptomatic, but they may be pruritic, or there may be pain on sitting or lying. Friction and pressure from chafing of the gluteal folds against each other and prolonged sitting are thought to be responsible, and many patients report that they spend the majority of their time sitting, often on hard surfaces. Pressure ulcers may rarely develop within the gluteal plaques. Superficial ulcers usually heal completely in a relatively short amount of time.

SGD is reported mainly in Asia, and the true incidence outside of this geographic locale is unknown.
